Overheard at the dinner table

Jordyn asked me if Italian is what they speak in Italy. I said yes. Rob (being sarcastic) asked what they speak in England. Jordyn said English. Max said (in an incredulous tone) they do??? It was so funny.

Funny Buster

I found these pictures tonight when I was organizing all my pictures.

This happened a few months ago, but I thought I'd share with you all.

Max and Jake had gotten into trouble and Rob and I were both in the kitchen and we yelled at them to get into the corner. Well, I guess Buster didn't like us yelling at the kids and stood guard over them until we let them out. I think he thought we were gonna spank them and he was havin' none of that! LOL

Another Max Funny

This kid just cracks me up.

My niece, Autumn, was playing a Wubzy dress-up game on Nickjr.com. Wubzy was standing in a room in his underwear and the point of the game was to dress Wubzy however you wanted. Autumn put a shirt on him first and Max said "you really should put pants on him first cuz it's embarrassing to see him in his underwear!" Oh my gosh! He is so funny!!

While Jake was in the tub Max went in and yelled "BOOOOO", scaring Max. The funny thing was that Max came out of the bathroom, laughing, looked at Rob and said "That never gets old" He such a stinker!

Overheard this morning

Jake to Rob: "I'm still a little kid, but I'll be a medium kid, soon!"

Buster almost got in BIG trouble!

I had to get up early this week to watch my cousin, Wayne's, boy, Tray. I was sitting on the couch at about 6:30 am waiting for them to arrive and looked down and saw this....

In the dim light, from the couch, it looked like a dog turd. I was so mad! I was getting ready to get up and give Buster a piece of my mind, but then I turned on the lamp next to me and realized it was just....

Max's Chewbacca toy! Pheew!! Poop scooping at 6:30 am averted!

Overheard at my house tonight....

Jordyn: Cheerio!

Max: What does that mean?

Jordyn: That I'm walking away!

Max: Isn't that fancy talk?

Rob called me at work to tell me this and it was so darn funny I had to share!!

As a side note, I promise I will stop neglecting my poor little blog. I have a bunch of pictures to post, I'm gonna upload them to the puter right now, so be looking for new posts in the next day or two =)

I didn't think my kids were that deprived

Last night we had a very yummy dinner that included mashed potatoes and gravy. Max looked at his plate and asked "what is that stuff on my potatoes?" I about died! I couldn't believe he didn't know what gravy was. I have obviously done a diservice to my children if they don't know that gravy goes on mashed potatoes!!

Why is it when

Dad sleeps in, the kids leave him alone, but when Mom sleeps in someone comes to bug me every 10 minutes?

On a funny note, this morning Rob was dozing in the chair and Jake came up to Rob saying, DAD, I'm bugging you!!! LOL. He cracks me up!

I mean big boy

Today I was on the phone with my sister, Bridget, and I said something about Jake being the baby. Right after that I heard his voice pipe up from the kitchen, NO, NOT baby, little boy!!! It was so funny!! I guess since he will be 4 in about a week i need to stop calling him baby, right? Wrong!! He will always be my baby and I told him so.

That kids just cracks me up. This actually happened a few weeks ago. Rob called me one night while I was at work and said that Max came up to him (it was about 6 pm) and said, "Um, Dad? Aren't you going to take care of your kids?" Rob was like, "what? what do you mean?" Max replied with "You know, aren't you going to feed us any dinner cuz it's dinner time and we're hungry!" Rob told him not to worry cuz dinner was almost done and they would eat in a minute!

This ones from Max. We went down the toothpaste aisle and I parked the cart in front of the kids mouthwash. Jake must have been playing with some bottles, cuz I heard Max saying, no, Jake, put those back, those are backwash! It took me a few times to hear him say it to realize what he was saying. It was so dang funny!

He's bilingual. Kinda. We'll thank Dora.

I was just sitting here at the computer, reading some blogs, eating my egg sandwich for breakfast. Jake came up to me asking for a bite. I gave him one and he went away. He came back a minute later asking for another. I told him if he waited til I was done eating my sandwich, I would make him an egg. He had eaten breakfast earlier and I hadn't, so I didn't feel guilty eating in front of him. He went away again, but was back within a minute. He stood next to me saying "abre, abre, mom" I turned to look at him and saw him standing next to with his mouth wide open like a baby bird waiting for his bite. It was so funny!!

Rob got some new socks a while back and decided to put the packaging on the boys. They thought it was pretty funny.

That kid is so darn funny.

Today we made a quick stop at Costco for fish sticks and milk. The kids really like their fish sticks and we were out of milk and I hadn't had time to make something for their dinner before work, so I figured fish sticks it was!

Since I was already there I picked up some big canisters of Cinnamon, Lemon Pepper and Taco Seasoning. I had all our stuff on the conveyor belt and Max was looking at the spices. He looked at me and said "Mom, why are we buying 3 boxes of different sand?"
