Mom, look at me!

The other night I was at the computer (which is right by the door to the garage). Rob was in the garage fixing something on his new (old) truck. We had the door open so we could talk but both be doing our own thing.

Jordyn rode up on her bike with her friend, Emily and asked R if he would take her training wheels off her bike. She was so excited, asking R please, please, please! I can ride Emily's bike! Rob said ok, let me see. So, she hopped on Emily's bike and showed her dad, that, yes, indeed, she could ride without training wheels! He immediately fixed her bike for her and off she went.

He had fun

The other day I turned cartoons on for Max and Jake to watch while I took a shower. When I went to check on them, this is what I found...

Menu Plan Monday!

This is my first Menu Plan Monday post! I have done the menu planning thing off and on for quite a few years. Five, I think. I think this is the longest I have continually done it, though. Here is my menu for this week.

Ooop, I forgot to link to OrgJunkie's site. Here it is:http://orgjunkie.com/

Monday: Tuna Casserole

Tuesday: BBQ Beef Fajita's (new recipe)

Wednesday: Chicken Italiano Skillet

Thursday: Hamburger Casserold (new recipe)

Friday: Pot Roast in the crock pot

Saturday: It's up to Rob, since I am working. It'll probably be fish sticks or hamburgers on the bbq.

Sunday: I usually leave Sunday open and Rob and I decide together that day what we'll have. It's usually something on the bbq. We bbq ALOT!

I work Wed, Thurs, Fri, and Saturday evenings. I *try* to make dinner for Rob and the kids those nights, but it doesn't always happen. I do this to help my hubby out and to make sure my kids aren't eating pizza, fish sticks and hamburgers the majority of the week!

Brothers

This morning I heard Max crying and carrying on. I went to check on him and he was outside crying at the sliding glass door. Jake was standing on the other side of it just grinning as big as can be! He thought it was so funny that he had locked Max outside. I let Max in and told him now he knows how it feels to be locked out, because he does it to Jake all the time. Brothers!

Oh, how I missed my laptop

Oh, yes I did. A week or 2 ago my laptop died. I was very, very sad. I don't know what was wrong with it, it just wouldn't work. Rob looked at it and couldn't get it to work, either. So, I called around yesterday and took it in to be fixed. I got it back today. I am SO happy!! I'm not sure exactly what the problem was, all I know is it didn't work yesterday, but it works today and that makes me happy. It had something to do with the memory chip, I don't know. When the computer people start to get technical my eyes glaze over and I don't really understand what they are saying. I do know that before we left the computer shop I made sure that the tech said OUT LOUD, in front of ROB, that the computer died through no fault of mine! That's all I needed to know.

Now I'm off to go watch a movie on my very loved (and expensive!) laptop!

Lunch with Dad!

Yesterday Rob's company had an open house luncheon to celebrate the opening of their new store/shop. When Rob told me about it I said, "cool, free lunch! Me and the boys will be there!" We showed up about 11:20 and by the time we left there were a TON of people there. The boys had a great time eating lunch with their dad at his work. Plus seeing all the diggers was extra fun, too! The also got to share a sprite and each pick a package of chips and have a cookie. I snapped some pictures of them, so here ya go.

Kinda forgot!

This morning when I was reading some family blogs I was looking at Jada's blogroll. I realized that my dh's and my name was there. So, of course, I clicked the link and it led me to my very own blog that I started in January and then promptly forgot about! I've been thinking starting up again for a while now and so here I am! Hopefully I won't be so neglectful of my blog anymore. I did make a few changes. I changed the name of the blog (if I think of anything catchier I'll probably change it again). I also changed my domain, too. I was trying to think of ways to be a little more internet safety conscious and both the blog name and domain name had my last name in the title, so I changed them. I first thought of going private, but then decided to just be very careful in what I post. For those of you who are a little more safety conscious, I will not add your blogs to my blogroll or link to your blogs! You know who you are :) !
