Jordyn's Spring Program

A few weeks ago the 2nd Grade did their annual Spring Program. It was very cute, Jordyn was a carrot and did so well with her solo part and singing all the songs. Rob couldn't make it, but Jan and I were able to make it to the dress rehersal. I was so proud of her! The title of the program was "How does your garden grow"

Let me apologize in advance for the shaking. I tried really hard, it was my first time taking video with my digital camera and I had to keep track of Jake at the same time!

Video #1 Watch from about 30 seconds to 2 minutes. I haven't figured out the editing part, yet!

Video #2 This doesn't have any of Jordyn, but this skit was so cute and Jake gave me a kiss at the end!

This is the video of Jordyn's solo!

The last song in sign language!

This last video is of Jordyn singing while we played Rock Band at my brothers over Easter weekend. We had so much fun! Thanks Aunt Jeanette for letting us borrow it! It's kinda long, so be forewarned!! LOL

The little bug who keeps sneaking into our bed...

He sure loves Mom & Dad's bed. The other morning I got in the shower and came out into the living room and a while later I realized I hadn't seen Jake, yet. I started looking around for him and here's where I found him!

Aww! He missed us! And we missed him!

Here is our lovable, loyal, wonderful dog, Buster. We all love him so much, but especially Max. We see Max and Buster together all the time. Buster will sit there while Max pets and talks to him. Buster has a hard time deciding where to be when some of the kids are outside and some are inside. He likes to know where everyone is at all times! One night while I was at work Jake fell asleep in his bed pretty early and Rob found Buster roaming the house and going in and out of the backyard. Rob finally figured out he was looking for Jake! Rob took him in the boys room and showed him where Jake was and he settled down. Isn't that sweet? Also, if a strange man comes to the house Buster makes sure he stays between me and him. He does NOT like strange people coming into the house (especially men) and moreso when Rob is not home. I like that he is protective of all of us.

Anyway, back to the original point of this post! (those of you who know me IRL (in real life) know that I it sometimes takes me a while to get to the point!) We went out of town over Easter weekend, and, unfortunately, we were not able to take Buster with us. I think it was last summer when we bought an automatic feeder and a portable doggy door for Buster to use while we are out of town. While we were gone we asked Jan to check on Buster once or twice to give him loves and let him know he wasn't completely abandoned! Easter Sunday we saw Jan at the Grandparent's in Fillmore and she told us that Buster is really missing us and that he had dragged one shoe from each family member into the living room! He didn't chew on them or anything, we think he just wanted to be able to smell our scent.

One last thing! I just have to say that he absolutely ADORES and LOVES Grandma Jan to pieces. He gets just as excited (if not more) than the kids when Grandma Jan comes to visit. It is so funny. The other day Jan came over and Buster was outside, he was at the glass door just scratching his hardest to be let in. I have never seen him so anxious to get into the house. It was too cute! Jan calls him her "other" grandchild!

Buster almost got in BIG trouble!

I had to get up early this week to watch my cousin, Wayne's, boy, Tray. I was sitting on the couch at about 6:30 am waiting for them to arrive and looked down and saw this....
In the dim light, from the couch, it looked like a dog turd. I was so mad! I was getting ready to get up and give Buster a piece of my mind, but then I turned on the lamp next to me and realized it was just....
Max's Chewbacca toy! Pheew!! Poop scooping at 6:30 am averted!

What I did on Sunday...

The kids helping mom...

This is fun!!

Max and his silly faces! LOL

This is when I got smart (well, Rob reminded me!) that I have a food processor!

Boiling the strawberries and other ingredients!

Waiting for the lids to seal

All done! Next time I'll buy more strawberries, that was ALOT of work for just 3 Quarts of Jam! I don't mind making it, but I like to have a bit more than that! We did have enough crushed strawberries for everyone to have strawberry shortcake for dinner that night, though!

We ended up having pb & j sandwiches for lunch that day and Max was quite disgusted with me when I wouldn't let them have the "new" jam and I broke out a bottle of last years! LOL
Rob was picking up Si from my mom and John while the kids and I were making the jam, that's why he's not in any of the pics ;)

Overheard at my house tonight....

Jordyn: Cheerio!

Max: What does that mean?

Jordyn: That I'm walking away!

Max: Isn't that fancy talk?

Rob called me at work to tell me this and it was so darn funny I had to share!!

As a side note, I promise I will stop neglecting my poor little blog. I have a bunch of pictures to post, I'm gonna upload them to the puter right now, so be looking for new posts in the next day or two =)

Max's Soccer Pictures!

Ok, on to Max's pictures.

Max is so hilarious to watch. He thinks its just the funnest thing in the world to be running down the field (he is pretty fast, btw) and then just randomly fall down! Most of the time there isn't even anyone near him!! He also has the cutest look on his face when he's just running his hardest to get to that ball!!

Heres some pics!
Stopping the ball!

Hmmm? Notice how he's the only one not standing? Wonder why? LOL

Another fall?

Finally! Soccer pictures!

I have been REALLY lazy about keeping up my blog lately!! I'm blaming it all on Facebook!! It's evil, evil I tell you!! It just sucks you in and pretty soon you've lost all track of time and your kids are hounding you cuz they are hungry and your house is a mess! I just need to back away from Facebook. But, maybe I'll do that tomorrow, lol!!

Anyway, I finally remembered to take my camera to Jordyn and Max's soccer games, so here are some pictures. I think I'll do 2 seperate posts, one for Jordyn's game and one for Max's. I think I'll start with Jordyn.

Did I mention pictures were at 8:30 in the morning??
